In response to Rupert’s call for more desks! Crappy encode in the interest of time. I also don’t usually feel comfortable making these types of videos, but everyone else is really putting themselves out there. This is no time to be shy, it seems.

Hah! Nice ending!
I gotta say this, your desk is really clean. Really really clean.
That is a great ending.
Also, glad to see my piratical card featured.
@david Thanks. You’re not the only one who realizes they don’t know how to pronounce navlopomo mid-stream.
I try to keep my desk relatively neat. sometimes it’s messier. If it gets too crazy I can’t work.
What was the little thing that was moving next to your miniDV tapes?
Nice idea about showing workspaces
Uh, I think I’m to blame for everything on your list.
I sort of knew that, but seeing it on the wall makes it clearer.
Hey vlogger people! Help get this woman some paying gigs!! I seem to have gotten her a lot of ’starter’ gigs — ie: cool gigs with no cash…. Hm.
Wow…impressively tidy. Mine looks like the end of the world, or rather that post coital period just after the bombs have dropped. There’s debris and and burning rubble everywhere. It’s a tragic scene.
I love the bravery of NaVloPoMo, people showing things they don’t normally feel able show. I am learning this great lesson and shall hopefully at some point this month follow suit. I say hopefully…gulp.
where is that desk from? i find desks these days are too wide to too high. it’s all about length. hmmm.
@aaron I know! The desk I had before this one was truly horrid. It was a hand me-down from my father, and *he* had had it for 20 years. I needed something looong so I could spread out all my equipment. And I wanted something without drawers attached–basically a giant table.
This one is great, it’s from IKEA. It’s part of a modular series, so if I move someplace smaller, I can take off the ends. And the legs are adjustable height!
@cheryl you mean the little film projector clock?
So neat and tidy! And of course, the giant pile of crap. I think everyone has one. I have two. Desk length is key! I’ve been seeking out sofa tables to use as a desk because they’re shallow but long.
I hope I can keep as neat as you!
Just catching up with videos now. I missed this. But, oh god, I don’t know if I can handle more workplace envy.
Space. Width. Organization. Beauty.
And a pile of crap. But at least your pile of crap isn’t spread all over your office.
@rupert glad to know you saw my response to your call! It took a lot of effort to get things to the point at which you saw them…and believe me, there are days when it looks much worse–the crap grows to fill the space I give it.
My right and left brain fight all the time.
