Watch my reel
Who am I? That’s a good question. Here are some (partial) answers.
I’m a creative versatilist who works in online video. I wear a lot of hats: videoblogger, filmmaker, designer, techie, and photographer. What defines me the most right now is my passion for video on the web, the open source tools that support it, and building interest around them.
During the day I’m part of the Video Ops team at Comcast Interactive Media. Before that I managed the website, videos and ads over at My Damn Channel (You Suck At Photoshop, Wainy Days, etc).
I’m heavily involved in the local tech/geek scene here in Philly. I’m a member of Independents Hall (which I also named), and I run the off-again-on-again Cream Cheese Sessions with Jason Tremblay. Recently I organized PHLedit, a video-centric coworking event which I plan to do again. I was also honored to take part in the first ever VlogGlobal Flashmeeting, a virtual 3+ hour “be-in” of vloggers from around the world, hosted by VlogEurope.
In the past, I’ve:
- edited for the award-winning vlog Alive in Baghdad
- worked in production, post, and coordination for media and TV companies
- named Independents Hall (if you’re in Philly, check them out)
- operated camera for the love conjure/blues performance-installation
- co-edited Will You… (short comedy)
- edited the Inclinations official trailer (short comedy on the festival circuit)
- been assistant editor for Rock School (feature documentary)
- produced and edited Videohouse Live with DJ Sapphirecut (read our great review by 91.7 WMPH)
- exhibited photographs at Gallery Siano and the The Open Lens Gallery
- had my enviro-spiritual short “Endless Spirit (of Destruction)” aired as part of the series Philadelphia Stories 4 on WYBE.
